LACTATE DEHYDROGENASE (LDH) TEST

Assists in confirming myocardial or pulmonary infarction. It is also used in differential diagnosis of muscular dystrophy and pernicious anaemia.

HIGH LEVELS ASSOCIATED WITH:

  • Acute myocardial infarction
  • Acute leukemia
  • Mascular dystrophy
  • Pernicious anaemia
  • Haemolytic anaemia
  • Hepatic disease
  • Extensive cancer
